Commissioning a bespoke portrait is an intimate, collaborative experience. Together, we will translate the unique spirit of your companion into a timeless work of fine art.
1. Share Their Story
Every masterpiece begins with a spark. Send me a few photographs that truly reflect your animal’s character, gaze, and personality.
They don’t need to be taken by a professional—what matters most is that you see their true soul in them.
If you are unsure which reference image to choose, we can look through them together to find the perfect starting point.
2. Designing the Vision
We will speak closely about the portrait you envision.
Whether you wish to focus on the quiet depth of their expression in a classic head-and-shoulders composition, capture their grace in full-body, or place them into a beautifully detailed landscape—a windswept coast, a quiet forest, or a mythical sky—we will map out the creative direction together.
Once the vision is set, I will confirm the final commission details before the first brushstroke is laid.
3. The Craft: Hair by Hair
This is where the physical photograph transforms into fine art. Working entirely by hand within Adobe Illustrator, I do not use automated filters, AI, or generic geometric shapes.
Instead, I meticulously hand-craft custom digital brushes and intricate color gradients to paint your companion layer by layer.
Depending on the complexity, I dedicate 40 hours or more to a single piece—hand-drawing every individual strand of fur, the delicate texture of their nose, and the living spark in their eyes.
4. A Private Preview
Art is a living collaboration. Before your portrait is finalized for print, I will invite you to a private digital preview of the artwork.
This is a dedicated moment for you to see the piece come to life, ensuring it captures the exact essence of your companion, and allowing us to make any delicate, fine-tuned adjustments together.
5. The Living Heirloom
Once your portrait has received your complete approval, it is prepared for its final physical form. Your artwork is printed using museum-grade Giclée technology onto heavy, 100% cotton archival paper (300 gsm), complete with a hand-signed Certificate of Authenticity. Because it is created in an infinite vector format, your masterpiece can also be adapted for grand-scale bespoke applications, from automotive vinyl wraps to custom interior murals.
